Thrown for a loop

Helloooo! It's another Monday, a hype day and another fantastic start to yet another week. This week has honestly been a bit of a struggle but exciting none the less.

I've run into some bike problems, nothing too big just some flats. The main issue was... when we fixed up the tire I went to ride it to an appointment, it worked just as it should. When we got ready to ride back I check my tires and it's flat again. I have no clue how it happened but the brand new tube lasted about 10 minutes haha. I never got the chance to check the tube for holes because my tire was flat and we were a 30 minute walk away from our apartment. I had a hand pump on me so we biked, stopped to pump, biked, stopped to pump. But as I was riding, I was about to get off and pump it up again, then it popped... yeah my flat tire popped. I saw white dust come out, from that point it held no air. I later found out the part where the valve attaches to the tube tore open. We had to wait to get another tube for a couple days so we walked quite a bit.

The roads here are full of sharp things and I'm dodging and weaving all the debris. It's like I'm playing an intense game of snake and the prize is not losing a tire. I'm pretty surprised I have only got 3 flats, considering how much we use our bikes. I will tell ya though, when I'm focused on avoiding glass and stuff, I concentrate on what is pretty close in front of me, occasionally scanning up for cars and other dangers. But when I see a dead raccoon pop up into my vison it scares me so bad, oh so unsettling!

I've been experimenting with meals lately. We found out that biscuits and gravy is really good haha, it's gotta be one of my favorite meals we cook up. We also have made some Ramen stir fry. My comp calls meals like this hobo meals because you can't mess them up. It tasted pretty good, it was just some frozen vegetables, canned chicken with Ramen noodles, oh and some eggs, I enjoyed it. But having this budget and cooking for ourselves makes me appreciate member meals a lot more. Cuz 1... they make really good stuff. And 2... all we have to do is show up. That's a pretty good deal, plus we get to visit with awesome people. The family we had dinner with this week was very funny. They have 2 kids and they are just too fun. You never really know what they're gonna say.

Speaking of kids, my first baptism on the mission is coming up next Saturday (July 2nd). We're gonna baptize a 9 year old kid. I absolutely loved teaching her and the other kids there.

That's the gist of it, I'm trying to keep with it and keep a love for others. The Gospel brings so much joy and I'm so thankful that's its been introduced in my life. I hope y'all have a wonderful week and Remember to smile!

This week is...

Under the Weather

I'm sure lots of you know this already but it's the first time I've heard this phrase, it means you're sick and you've gotten a cold or something. So I guess the weather has gotten to ya

Until next time...
PEACE!!!
