M...I...R...A...C...L...E...S
Ayyyy! What's up, another beautiful day! This week was crazy with the tender mercies.
We were just biking to an appointment and I just hear this person yell "heyyyy you Mormon" my comp is ahead of me but I stop and turn to see what's up. This woman was standing in her driveway with 3 kids and started asking if I was Mormon. I said yeah that's us, she said I am too and that she would like to meet with us. I said yeah we'd love to. I biked up to my comp and we turned back and set up a time to meet.
That's the miracle...
Doesn't seem like much but this instance was life changing. I thought nothing of it but when we met at her house with her kids it turns out she is in a super hard place. I won't go into detail but the shocking part is, this lady has been trying to contact our bishop and missionaries. Missionaries in the past wouldn't stop to talk to her, they would just drive by. On top of that she is in a super bad relationship with her second marriage. She refers to him as my kids father.... like dang. But anyway she was ready to be done with life. She was ready to end it that night. But when I stopped and listened to what she had to say... it saved her, her prayers were answered and she was so grateful. Something as small as someone listening changed her life. After meeting her a couple more times and introducing her to our bishop, I could see that she was much happier, she so badly wants to have the gospel back in her life. I'm excited for her and her kids and am grateful for that opportunity.
That's the biggest part of my week, I'm slowly learning that people around here love to say yes, when it comes to actually following up they drop it completely haha. We've had someone say that our lesson was the best birthday gift she ever had (we taught her on her birthday
) I felt that one in my heart. Well it was really cool, she came to church and liked it then we drop by her house later in the week for a follow up lesson. Then BOOM

. We haven't heard from her since. We've called/knocked on her door so many times... nothing. This has happened plenty of times now. Apparently it's a thing in Memphis haha.

I love sharing the gospel more and more each week and can see how much happier it makes others. It's just really neat to see conversion
This week was fast Sunday, the fast and testimony meeting was so dang funny. I've never laughed at church so many times! They have a rule for testimonies. You only have 2 minutes to bare it. This method allowed many people to have a chance and lots were willing to do so. Some people even bore it twice! *Cough *cough (Bishop and many others) lol. The culture here is just too fun. There is no fake laughs and people joke around lots. People's laughs are genuine and most the time loud. They love conversation here too, never dull... never dull.
Also today I dunked a ball haha not by myself but it was funny. Some elders in my district boosted me up when I jumped. It felt so easy when we did it. My goal is to dunk a basketball by the end of my mission.
That's all this time around, busy fun week. Y'all enjoy this next one. This weeks word is...
-Flakey
We use this word often! Cuz that's what Memphis people are referred to I guess. This just means they don't follow up at all, they get hype in the moment but when the time comes to do something, they dip faster than fast. Thus being flakey
I love you all so very much, every day I'm breathing is another day to be grateful. So good to be alive.
Don't forget to smile...
Until next time...
Peace!!
